This chapter did mention a previous war with demons. As terrible as the humans are in this, I'd bet the demons are behind it. Probably acting through a not yet introduced church. Tropes and all.

Not necessarily. Just because he failed to educate his son properly doesn't mean the count himself is a villain. The king seems to trust him greatly. And while it's hard to estimate how long after the king informed the nobles this takes place, currently the count knows that the dragons are in the process of judging humanity right now and the pact is about to end. Sending some people to continue robbing them would be beyond suicidal.

This is not that type of manga so the humans will survive and we will see the MC falling in to the shonen protag trope of leaving the villain go...

...Though here is a bit different... once the hassle is resolved (I have 0 interest in this fight) are they going to tell the king?... i kind of want to see a more involved human side, one that knows about what is happening, because by now we all know a third party is in on this. A human side that is actually traying to uncover the truth more than just a bunch of nobles just shaking their collective legs

I do get it. Due to the academy being a test bed to judge whether humanity as a whole will be exterminated or not, Dragon royalty has decided to withhold all the information about this spares for king and high ranking nobles as the headmaster realise.

This is the reason why all the high ranking nobles and the kings are worried since the conduct of their children’s will affect humanity’s fate in scheme of thing.

So as you pointed out, it is suicidal to keep sending adventurers just to get some Dragon eggs, so no nobles would do it. I have a feeling this might not be nobles fault to begin with since they are worried sick of everyone else (including their own). Instead, I have a feeling it was radical factions that do not respect the purpose of Dragons and humans pact.

Definitely possible, as seen in other manga.
But it's also possible that humans simply forgot the part of the pact about their own duties. Both with individual and collective memories, we often forget inconvenient information.

I don't think that's a reliable judgement. It seems the king receives some "gifts" as mentioned in this same discussion, so he might be bribed or biased towards someone who brings him gifts.

I bet we meet demons and they are nicer and more accepting than humans. Other than the 1 princess, the teacher, and the principal no human has shown themselves as worth saving. Even the prince is barely getting there and it most likely is because he wants Miil and is doing it selfishly

Im'ma be honest I'm tired of "Humans bad! Literally every other Race Good, Refined, and Enlightened" slop. It got old really fast as far as Genre Fatigue goes among different reading and viewing Mediums.

It's like a reversed version of Elf Wank Elves get treated like gods among Earth for the very traits that are meant to show they're basically no better and in a lot of ways worse than Humans and other races. Which entirely misses the point.

Human Bad writing is just making one specific group of horrid people and deciding every human is like that and deserves to die with any and all potential for good, change, or deviation being removed.
