Reading this arc is like fighting that one stupidly difficult boss, spent all of your recoveries, finishing it with like 1/10 of your HP left, and the boss music just got more intense (IBIS from AC6 comes to mind honestly).

For me this fight is basically tried to instantly end the power scaling journey since if Dion can defeat this Frieza of a boss, then the only thing that stronger than him is a literal dragon (maybe guild leaders if they are just as strong as a dragon at that) and put an end to a question of whether Dion is S rank ready or not. Or I maybe wrong completely since I haven't read the WN.
