So many people complaining here…
I think the pacing is just fine, since about half of the chapter is dedicated to Yuki slowly finding out what has happened and that Dion is a different person now.
About the “showing power scaling” thing; remember that this is the first intelligent dungeon that has ever appeared, and this mob seems to be the first of its kind that gets smarter during fights. This does not mean that the black shadow is the end boss of the dungeon, nor if there’s a mastermind somewhere that are creating intelligent dungeons to kill adventurers.
Now I haven’t read the WN so I don’t know where the story is going etc, but so far I personally like the development so far.
