I'm kinda confused by what the ending means. Does that mean the Ice guy was brainwashed into meeting his master in the dream? Did they know that would let him unlock the time spell?

My theory: 8 eyes stole his thesis (not her first time), and used the mages to teach icy with hypnosis.
But the ghost approved his disciple way of thinking so he made an appearance.

I mean, the author stated that this manga magic is coming from "gods", may be the 4 eyes is the one who gave icy power.
