Yeah, considering what's shown in the first part of the next chapter there is a possibility that we get the Author glazing Sasha again.

Unless I'm reading it wrong, it seems like Haise used his body to protect Sasha from the Turtle's Hyper beam like what Piccolo did with Gohan in DBZ. This can lead to two things.

• Haise will collapse due to the damage he sustained. Sasha gets a power up due to 'friendship' and kills the turtle.
• Haise can still fight but due to the damage, he will be forced to team up with Sasha to kill the turtle.

I do hope this is not the case. Maybe this is also the reason why they released a 0.1 chapter to test the audience.

Sasha has the IQ of a rotten tomato. And that's being generous. She's not actually competent, smart, or likable. The story just tells you she is and makes endless excuses for her. The reason Hyce was really kicked out is that one of the guys and one of the girls want to bend over Sasha and have their way with her. So they alongside the others basically conspired to sabotage him from day one.

Remember, they now started taking in D ranks and lower. And they're training them. Something they not only did not do for Hyce, they went out of their way to ensure he had no time, energy, or could even go train on his own by sabotaging him and overloding him with menial tasks.

Sasha finds all of his out in the WN later, and there are ZERO consequences for them. In fact she doesn't even reject them, she keeps them around. Sasha and Hyce old party are MUCH worse than people realize.

Oh, I'm fully aware, don't worry. I know what's going to happen, I just wish the story was being taken away from the WN author so all of that were not the case.

It's a futile wish, but I sometimes enioy bullying myself with silly hopes like that.

It's less "he shouldn't go save her!" and more that his entire character motivation and the premise for the story get thrown out the window because the author loves Sasha too much. She never even apologized to him, seems to not understand what she even did wrong to him in the first place, and the two members of Sacred that actively want to fuck Sasha both had a hand in manipulating her and harassing Hyce to the point of getting him kicked from the party - because Hyce was Sasha's childhood friend and they saw him as a threat to their getting access to Sasha's pants.

Plus, if this ends up following the novelization, none of them end up facing consequences, Sasha never has to learn from her mistakes, and Hyce just basically kowtows and forgives with no actual effort put in on the part of his abusers.
The author bends the logic of the universe itself so that Sasha never has to grow as a person and everyone fawns over her and worships her, and that is what people are griping about, more than anything.
It's just that the "don't go saving her" portion is pertinent to the actual chapter that was posted here.

Seeing how poorly the Web Novel handled her really makes me hope the author pulled a Sono Mono Nochi where he wrote the web novel to have the childhood friend genuinely fall in love with the hero and "ntr" Wazu, while showing Wazu's growth that he no longer is hurt by that fact and faced excruciating backlash about it so he changed it to be a misunderstanding in the manga

The WN->LN->Manga route is not really a rock solid standard. Sometimes mangaka looks for a storyline and picks up a WN since pretty often, someone who can draw can not neccesaryly write a good story as well so i actually prefer when the artist and the writer are different people. On topic, i don't remember this having an LN. WN continues to get updated on schedule.

Only problem is that people who can't write for shit, often can't judge how good or bad others writing is, and so they select something as shitty as if they wrote it themselves, cause they like it. Explains why so many mangas with different authors and artists are kinda shit.

Regarding Robin I'm starting to be more cynical than when I was reading the WN, her excuse for not visiting Hyce is reading the room, you wonder if she's a good friend to Sacred or just an opportunist that didn't want to anger people.

I agree with you, there should be more (if there's any) punishment for Sasha's actions, but I won't hate on the MC because he goes and saves her, 'cause that's who he is, and he can't deny it
