I had a dog once, he was smart and incredibly athletic. He was a sweet dog. Every time I come home after school or anywhere he would jump into my arms. So cute. He wasn't just a like family anymore, he was family. But you know, the world isn't so kind. Things spiraled and they had to lock him up. And then that very day, it's stuck into my head, I could never forget it. I came home from school like usual, I went to find him, but I couldn't. I asked my mom, but she wouldn't talk. Then I went to my dad. I asked him, "Where's Chico(my dog's name)?" He looked me straight in the eye and said, he was put down, saying it was for the best. I was devastated and confused. I sat on the chair, but for some reason I couldn't cry. Everything felt hollow. I felt numb. I just saw him yesterday and now I couldn't see him anymore.
That's my story. I don't want to get into too much details. It's a painful memory. One that I would probably never forget. Rest in peace to all the dogs, cats, etc., in the world
