I'm sure we're supposed to believe Anna is right in her treatment of the miner and that her rules are actually reasonable, so I won't go argue if the rules are good. Plus, in a medieval setting, getting 2 days off per week is likely extremely generous. It's just dumb of the author to treat physical labor, in a mine even, as if it was a 9 to 5 office job.

And speaking of dumb, what's that "I won't tell them I'm not their biological father" plan? Anna appears to be extremely smart, so she probably already knows that. And will probably tell the sisters at some point. Also realize they're not actually sisters. And if he never tells them they're not his children, what is he going to say about their mother? He isn't married and never talks about her, so are they supposed to think that she died? That she abandoned them? No thought to whether they might want to know about their mother?

Also, Elsa knows about the dragon already. And he was famous, as was the event of the dragon destroying the village. They'll learn about the truth the moment they talk to a member of guild. I mean, it's a miracle none of the rest of the villagers brought up the fact that they're adopted, seeing how they seem to be extremely outgoing and it doesn't seem like the father told everyone to lie about it.

Plus, he's saying he's doing it for their sake, but it's obvious he is doing it for his own sake, which makes him a bit of a scumbag.

@Kevadu awww, look at the guy wanting to skip work and just do it "when he feels like it" despite having reasonable working ours and 2 days to rest a week. So oppressed~

Why wouldn't they be sisters ? They were found as babies together under ruins, so they're either triplets, relatives or orphans even before the dragon.

@Robbini Triplets are quite rare, and siblings would have about 10 months between them at the very least, so the difference between the oldest and the youngest would be two years. Since they're clearly about the same age (which makes identifying one as the eldest quite strange), it's extremely unlikely that they're related. Also, they have different hair colors, eye colors, and body types, which makes them being closely related unlikely.

They could be relatives, but not siblings. Let's say a family had several couples in that village, brothers, sisters , uncles etc. they could all have had children at around the same time.

Am I the only one who thinks it's creepy how all the girls call this guy 'daddy'?
Or am I overthinking things? Also is it really necessary, that all his children are prodigies?

I think you're just overthinking it, but the synopsis does state that "these girls also seem to love their father", and the manga has a suspicious (and alarming) "harem" tag for some reason...

Nothing wrong with calling your (surrogate/biological/foster/etc.) father "daddy", though some might think it childish or undignified or disrespectful , and it might carry the wrong connotation if you're older.

Edit: I read the English translation of the title. This is somewhat dangerous territory.

what's up with this depiction of the miners? Even up to Industrialization, miners would crawl through miles of tunnels to get to work, work all day, then crawl their way back home, 6-7 days a week. They'd love a 8AM to 5PM work schedule.

Class traitor Pinkerton bitch.
I hope the miner unionises, then takes control of his labour with his fellow workers.

Imagine writing this chapter and thinking it makes her character likable in any way. The author must be a fucking idiot.

This girl sounds like a bitch. I get that mining is hard, and you'd be lucky to get an 8-5 work day, but from how she makes it sound, they get that time without breaks. She sounds like Carnegie. I hope the workers unionize cause mining's dangerous and they're being worked better than most miners, but still are treated pretty poorly. Do they even have health benefits like insurance for diseases like black lung?

She does realize that mining isn't a battlefield, yeah? In a battlefield, there's no such thing as rest.

When you mine, you get the goods. However, if she's expecting everyone to be pros at mining, forget it. Although, some of us that play Guild Master in games know what to expect from our crew-mates.

So... *Sigh* She has a point, from a person that knows what it's like being a manager and having that weight on you.

Wow, the Bourgeoisie strikes again. Did the author intend to make her likeable with this? A dirty capitalist that abuses and belittles her workers?

@Zeroq3 wow comrade! You are totally right she is clearly evil capitalist. We must start Red Revolution and reformation of the soviet bloc! ...or how about we take into account that the guy was actually skipping out on work to go drink booze. Then either *not* work for the rest of the day or go back to work shit faced... in a mine... where you can end up causing a cave in and killing everyone.... hmm you know what? I think i'd rather him get smashed AFTER work since he literally only works an 8 hour shift (far from the crap that normally used to happen with 10-12 or even 14 hour shifts in mines.) Also seems he had a lunch break too. However, instead of throwing him completely under the bus immediately she lets him off with a "stop slacking off jackass" instead. He knew he was in the wrong or else he wouldn't have wimped out IMMEDIATELY when confronted by her with facts.

Basically he's making more money then ever... and trying to complain about how hard he works. ...when in reality he's doing less work and getting paid much more and he knows it.

Pure and innocent girls... um... dude.. I have a feeling the second they find out you "aren't" their bio-dad... terrible things are about to happen to you. And even if I didn't know this already from the title of the story you can already slightly tell that they have less than wholesome feelings for "papa". XD

Hugely factual comment

Apple pie... why are they so excited about that? It’s almost as if... no I can’t think like that. I can’t think about cream pies.
Probably his cooking is as overpowered as his other skills.
And also, they are children, and children like sweet things such as apple pies. Your mileage may vary, because there is more than one way to make an apple pie.
