Is there a reason the spread was so small this time? I thought I accidentally scaled the window when I got to it, but at max size, it was still small. Readable of course, but unusually small in terms of dimensions.

I've noticed the same in other mangas as well. It weirds me out when a double page is smaller than a single page.

See, I have this sneaking suspicion that either in the web novel or the light novel the story is quite... spicier, with actual bestiality and whatnot.

Just a guess of course but it really feels like the manga is trying very hard to not show any actual, ahem, progress in that regards considering that, well, he is a cat. Censorship and age rating and all that good stuff probably holding that side of the progress back.

Well, I have only read 2 volumes of the LN and let's say...Aria's backstory in it sure is spicier and more fucked up.
