I believe that they explained it earlier why she wears that armor. Basically, her acceleration skill 's maximum speed is limited by the weight that she has to carry. So instead of wearing a lot of heavy protective armor, she chooses to wear practically nothing as it provides her the least amount of added weight. Thus letting her skill allow her to move at a speed which negates most threats, because she simply is too fast to be hit.

In other words, less clothing = better chance of survival + increased combat effectiveness and efficiency.

Dark cloud 2 fish raising is the most time consuming thing in dark cloud 2, other than the golf mini-game (which can take a while due to hitting the ball into unreachable locations).

I usually breed them to race and don't bother with fighting. Good luck with becoming the fish master, it takes a long time.
