Overall a weird chapter, I know its more an intro for mage but having it show an overly compassionate MC is showing that later people who deserve death and/or worse will get forgiven (Like ex party) or become recurring villains.

I mean every exile/betrayal series like this has MC have super needed/useful ability that any party would cream themselves to have but they decide MC is useless and get rid of him one way or another then find out literally within 1-2 chapters they might have fecked up and go into decline.
