Wonder if he’s thinking it’s related to his dragon buddy

And if resolving things would give half dragons a power boost

An arrow, huh? I wonder if there is a high ranked bow user literally called The Archer.

This is my only problem with the "disguise". Not because the mask barely cover his face, which probably disguised by magic, but he is always using the same mask. In a proper story Lavia existence should be in danger now, since they already drew a line that silver face is connected to her disappearance.

99.99999999% of authors act like, that in a medieval setting street stalls would adhere modern hygiene and safety standards.

In reality such stalls would resemble the ones in horrific videos from south Asia (Pakistan/India/Bangladesh/etc.). I would avoid them, I don't like diarrhea.
exactly, i don't even trust street stalls in real countries, but medieval ones?, the smell alone would make you puke even before reaching the place

Also, through a glass pane and through that angled plate armor the bolt would not have much penetration left.

That's "medieval" glass, which would be quite thick and since it probably was shot from a roof it would deviate the tip enough to induce oscillations, which would either glance off the angled chestplate or shatter/penetrate a little bit and be quite skewed

And unless there is magical float glass facilities to create smooth thin panes, that glass is going to be all rippled and thicker in the middle. This means aiming through it would be impossible.

And look at the break pattern. You might get that if you threw a cobblestone through the glass, but an arrow would either bounce off, break, or punch through. There's no way it would have enough energy to shatter the whole pane and zip across the room and pierce a solid breastplate. And if it did have enough energy, then the two of them should have also been showered with glass shards.

And notice that the angle is all wrong. The arrow passes straight by his cheek perfectly parallel to the floor, yet somehow across the massive 6 foot wide table, manages to drop over a foot and angle its point down. That's not how physics works! Or geometry! And that's not even trying to figure out where the shooter would have to be standing to angle this shot. smh

i did not even realize the angle of them with respect to the window....

a modern hunting compound crossbow with tungsten point and aluminium/CF bolt with hundreds of punds of draw weight would be able to accomplish the penetration.

Not a fantasy wooden bolt out of a medieval crossbow

Maybe Hikaru needs to put his stealth skill to proper use and do some spring cleaning in the town. If as a result a few contestants fail to appear at the arena when the matches are supposed to continue, it's not Silverface's problem.

Also, the mask covers like 1/5 of his face, so how big a mystery can his face be?
They neglect it in the manga but it's explained in the web novel at least that those masks all have perception blocking capabilities. It's a mental block not a physical block so others can't comprehend the face they're looking at beyond basic features like the wearer has eyes, a nose, a mouth, etc..
