Everything had been going so splendidly for the MC that his head has grown far too big. Arrogance has been the undoing of many a man. Maybe he will learn something from this. He should have never approached such a monster fighter. After he took down the captain's horse, he could have still walked away with Lavia. Not to Pondo, though. That's idiotic, after all the questions he kept asking. As soon as it's made public, or even semi-public, that someone helped Lavia escape, how could the guild receptionist lady not guess Hikaru might be involved? But apparently Fluere never had any value in his eyes, so he doesn't consider her a threat. He's far too arrogant for his own good.
