That editor was being dumb. Even at the height of the loli hate, no one would've cared about something as insignificant as a bra strap. It's so weird/interesting to get a look into the differences as to what is considered "too much" in Japanese culture versus wester culture. Like the bra strap was too much but all the focus on her boobs and sticking the ruler in her cleavage wasn't? ..huh?
Also now I'm confused as to what "Loli" even means in japan. Since the design clearly isn't a loli based on what we over here know as lolis. Not sure why the setting/age of the character changes that. But ok.
