Here we have yet again another uncanny WA2 parallel (how Kazusa's motivation for the piano is Haruki). Here its Utaha's motivation for dumping LNs as Tomoya.

Well yeah they're written by the same person, but this looks like a WA2 without Setsuna, so probably both good in some ways, bad in some.

But one thing is sure, I'm liking it a lot. Though I wish the background was something else instead of Otaku culture. But this works too I suppose.

Oh dayum I did not realise that the author for WA2 and Saekano was the same! Very interesting, I love both series very much (though mainly an anime consumer).
Also surprised he did Classroom Crisis as well. Something I felt was quite underrated when it was airing.
I might keep tabs on his future works, though he doesn't seem to be very active....

Were there more notable parallels between WA2 and the original Saekano? It has been quite a while since I've watched both...

@Nicromatic

I haven't really "consumed" all of Saekano to give a concrete answer, but the one thing I do know is Saekano is a major downgrade from White Album 2. It definitely doesn't hold a candle to Coda. Very few things in fiction can hold a candle to that level.

WA2's anime is literally only 20% of the story. Or better yet 1/3. There's a mountain of things which happen in further parts. Its not widely known because Coda is still untranslated and CC isn't that impressive.
