I feel the same, except I also don't like the MC either.

He's a block of wood that's purposefully trying to be boring as a sort of facade, but the problem is there's nothing to suggest he isn't also boring behind that facade as well. This guy knows absolutely nothing about anything going on, in a way that feels less like he retired and more like he was in a coma for those ten years. He hasn't even developed any sort of fun hobby in all that free time, he said himself that he'll just zone the fuck out some days and do nothing.

And it's not like he's interested at all in how things work now, the only reason he's doing anything is that he's being dragged by the two girls which, as you said, are also plain as fuck. This just feels like a really stretched-out prologue where we're all just sitting here waiting for the story to start.

I could do without the airhead influencers, and the new couple are both slimy. Plus, there was definitely too much sitting around and talking. But that is the USP (Unique Selling Point)(even though there are countless similar plots out there), so as annoying as all that stuff is, without it, you just have your bog-standard OP edge-lord killing stuff in a dungeon. We are here to see them knock the rough edges off each other and become world famous. I hope it gets some way there before axe-kun lands. I'll give it 7⭐ at the moment.
