dude le streaming dungeons!1!111!

can this trope die already?
I'll do you one better. Take EVERY, single, lazy, slop bullshit "video game mechanics in setting" shit and throw it in a trash compactor. It's always shit, lazy vomit playing off "look guiz we play the VIDEO GAMES" and an excuse to not actually do any worldbuilding. "skills", stat pages, inventories - fuck all of it. If that's in your FANTASY setting you're a LAZY HACK.

Anime and manga weren't immune to enshittification, it was just ten years slower, just like nintendo and paid online / microtransaction slop and bad games.

Why is... Why is "Dungeon Streaming" a genre?
I'm not denying people would watch it in real life, it's just that it doesn't make any sense why there's so much of stories exactly like this one.

I am sorry to say but streaming is here to stay. Because streaming is what helps the younger generation stay interested and grounded in the story. Just like the introduction of RPG mechanics before that, for slightly older people.

This way the bigger share of the market can be captured making publishers and shareholders happy.

I think it's kinda sad, because it's just game streaming with extra steps.

Usually in these manga, you can't use these superpowers except in the dungeon, meaning that when not on camera, the characters are just regular people, and have to watch out for crazy fans and obey the government like regular people.

So the difference from a regular gamer is effectively nil, except that
a) you can die in the game,
b) doing it as a career is more feasible, and
c) you get way more respect from regular people than for being a pro gamer.
