ok is it just me or am i not getting the point of this manga? the mc is constantly getting underestimated and does nothing about it. Even if the point is to "hide your powerlevel" he's already got involved way too much, that any other inaction just seems cowardly.

Well, even MC doesn't really know what to do exactly. Like the global aim is to clear story mode. But with all the changes he's unsure. Hiding powerlevel is just a mean not an aim. It's more convenient to deal with some things: for example 3 player (he's in the open, but MC is not). Although some forces and people noticed MC is not simple (like that kunoichi), but they won't spread the knowledge.

Yes it is a strange change. The game is supposed to be aimed for both men and women, that there are no male final bosses in the school is a bit odd.

Although the fact that in this version, it's Temna who fixes the incident and not just ‘they fell asleep’ is much more believable in the middle of the competition.

probably best if you did, there have been many changes to the story (the game) the MC is not super knowledgable about all aspects of the game, for example such as the female pov's storylines. he just trying to blend in, his character didn't have much of a role in the game in the first place, any light he ends up shining on himself is only going to make things drift from the story, he has cause things that only sped up or slow down interactions of the story events but hasn't made them go out of chaos.

He has an advantage being a named character from the auto pick so other players won't know he is a player himself

Now everything has changed, the 'bad guys' have gained much more power than they had in the game, while the good ones/players haven't risen enough to be able to win (partly because he stubbornly didn't powerlevel them).
