If you think this is fresh air you're braindead, this is the standard for so, so, so many manga. It's the standard bullshit power removal that authors employ to "hide" or "lower" the MC's power at key moments with key antagonists.

But he didn't hide it. He rushed as soon as he realized what was happening, and got his hand cut off before using Accelerator. That's beyond the abilities he was showing to his class.
I could see why you guys think this is bullshit, but I think it's a valid loss.

Per my last message, the AUTHOR is hiding the strength
A similar trope is when characters power up, and the next enemy has a counter to that power or something weakens the character right before a big fight. The trope is actually being played out in this moment right now. It's so painfully stereotypical that it's not a breath of fresh air, it's stale as fuck.
He won't. Not until everything is fucked beyond repair.
There is a reason this story is regarded as having one of the most useless MCs in the verse as well as a gold digger CF who everyone despises whenever she is the focus (Kauru)
Oh okay, was just making sure since there are cases where the fan translator/mtl is wrong. A recent example is with Blinker academy, they mistranslated a character as a dude for like a two years until this year when the manhwa adaptation came out they realized they messed up got her gender wrong and had to go back and re-edit or their past chapters
