I like this one. Author didnt over play the moral part. Mc actually not moved by force of plot. He stayed fat. Mc doesnt stick with any one of the main characters. I think you'll be happy to know that if it depends on the MC, this will never happen. He keeps tabs on the childhoold friend/fiance mainly to check the status and progress of the hero's party and because the Souta inside him compels him to protect her, but overral he prefers not to interact with her more than necessary because he doesn't want to risk that she, one of the main heroines of the game, leaves the hero's party and thus alters the events of the plot under any circumstances.
