i got the gist of the first few pages and the last few, but the whole "student runs away, kaoru tries to sympathize with the class" just sounds like gibberish to me. though to begin with, why did that girl flee like that instead of talking it over directly, she essentially just fueled the flames even more, unless this act was planed out by glasses girl. What is happening :notlikethis:
I had the same reaction too, but it's not the translation, but this whole stupid drama with this shitty class that's so ridiculous.

1 - Class wanted to kill Butao off.
2 - Akagi wants to handle everything by himself but he's losing faith on himself after jobbing all the time.
3 - Tachiki wants the class to get to their shit together in order to win.
4 - The rest of the class are close to breaking point due to the bullying to the point they're willing to make the situation worse by sabotaging themselves, Takeda wanted to spread a bad rumor that Akagi and Tachiki were having a fight.
5 - Somehow Butao is also guilty because he lost to a slime and the bullying from the upper classes are more harder because they get mocked with this story.
6 - Tachiki is going to duel and beat Akagi in order for him to get his shit together.

It sounds like gibberish that's exactly what she wanted to do.
It sounds more like a group therapy in oder to improve the class mood.

Kanpeki, thanks for the summary (man wish this manga gets treated better in the translation department, the translation is bad and slow even the Spanish translation is 30+ ch ahead :meguuusad:)

That's hard those days, no one wants to work for free anymore, the current spanish translation is worse than this.
Also, Google destroyed the source of income of several scanlators after Google banned scanlators from getting money though Ads.
So you either have paywalls which seems more prevalent these days or a manga that's popular enough to get enough donations though PayPal or patreon, but the future is bleak because Visa and Mastercard are now going to crackdown on it too.

is there a chance that the websites that have been affected are just an exception?, i don’t think visa and master card can do the same with big sites like official shueisha’s manga plus, but yeah translators do have it rough

Dude, thanks that at least makes some sense. They are all just worried about their positions because of the myriad of things going on around them. Takes a lot to even get into the school so their hopes and dreams are making them go a little crazy

Yeah.
Even more nowadays that there’s a fuckton of new official publishers, not just for manga but also for doujinshi, including hentai, compared to 10 years ago, for example, and there's even venues like DLsite's translations in the mix for freelance translators. This has led many of them to aim for jobs with these publishers because, while the pay for most of them is dogshit (I know this from experience lol), it’s still better than working for free with scanlation groups.

I bet at some point in the future, someone is gonna make some software that instantly grabs Japanese text from a manga page, runs it through different ChatGPT prompts like grammar fixes and making the text sound "natural," then pastes it back onto the page with a white border, which will truly be game over for the scanlation scene.
