That's not really a spear, it's more like a lance now. And boy did that feel like the ending right there when he was handing Bellmoon down to the kid.

I do hope that this continues into a new arc since this has been an amazing story, as unlikely as that sounds from the way the source material has been on hiatus.
Like someone else already mentioned here; it’s basically an epilogue wrap up. Don’t expect any huge arcs, but we will get a nice little bow I guess. :nyoron:

Stagnant said that his lifespan is still human. He's semi-invulnerable, not immortal.

As far as I remember the last piece of info we got, was that his lifespan is very long now, so any love life with a human would be sad, but then the 2 goddesses started cat fighting over him as well as as some comment from stagnant to “subtly” hint to his future love life with gods.

I'm so relieved he got to pass his weapon on to live a new life with those kids. I really hope it'll live a long life (and that his new spear doesn't get throttled by a new foe too lol)

Will is such a thoughtful gentle dude it makes you forget how much adversity he's been through for his story.

Thanks for the translation!

Nah that's a Swordspear like Nameless King's weapon.

Also I absolutely love that they spent quite a bit on Will lamenting about the loss(kinda) of his main weapon.
Not many stories has their characters do this.
The spear did have a long history with Will after all.

I don't remember what exactly happened to him, but he originally stopped due to poor health and mental problems.

When first season of anime went out after all the support he got, he did go out on Twitter and promise to continue the story, but said it would take some time, since he didn't write anything in a long time, plus he needed to fix his health issues.

I think last time I saw him made any updates was in October 2023. But if he's still working on the story, it is not impossible for manga to get bits of content that he's currently preparing for the next volume.

that looks more like a lance to me. give him a strong mount and his charging attack would be unstoppable

The spear is actually an Assegaai.
An african spear developed to its full efficiency by none other than Shaka Zulu himself, and the staple weapon for his warriors.

It is actually an all-in-one weapon, as it can be used as a javelin, a spear/lance, and a long-handled sword in its most famous long-bladed form the Zulus used.
What's shown here is just a very fancy version of it. And yes, it is a very effective weapon, as the english found out to their detriment.

people keep saying that theres no more novel material to keep the story going, but honestly theres so much "side content" that has been sprinkled through the series that they can just fall back to. like the elf girl that gus and the others helped, or a mini arc of the dwarfs rebuilding their city in the mountain. i also really need to see what happens once the seal opens and the guy that summons demons breaks free.

yes, he like spear more as his weapon of choice. and he already has the OP Overeater as backup sword

the manga artist could do that. but what people meant was actual story arc from published novel they can follow anymore. all those stuff you mentioned will be original content from manga artist if he does that, since original author hasnt write about it. no matter how fit that story with the previous story will be.
