This also feels like a much better balance, where in the original LN they didn't really dwell on Mira much aside from her being cornered, but also don't spend half an episode building up her story on how she regrets everything ever. God I didn't like the anime.

Didn't watch the anime or read the novel, but the Manga didn't do too bad. It's not a stretch to assume someone who did something shady to get out of debt regrets it once they see the impact their actions caused other people.

Agreed, didn't watch the anime but I read the light novel, reading this chapter was a way better way to conclude the story with Mira imo. It felt like a loose thread in the ln.

This arc has a huge cast with lots of things going on and the manga rushing things make it confusing. After this it should get easier to follow.

I hope this manga isn’t heavy on action, because mangaka can’t draw cohesive action sequences.

This is probably one of the few action scenes where people fight other people in the series. After this capture ends, there probably won't be another for at least 100 chapters

Man, i don't mean to disrespect the author since i can't even draw, but dang the author really needs to learn more of fight choreography. This a mess and chaotic in bad way. I can't even follow up what the characters actually do.

And again, can we have lighter topic? I picked this manga for the light tone story. I wasn't in for full blown kidnapping conspiracy.

I feel bad for Kalua, 2 years is a very long time for her missing older sister, and it seems like Mira was involved in a request that disposed of evidence linked to her sister's disappearance.

So based off of LN reader comments and what I've seen from the anime, the manga took the middle road when it comes to Mira in this scene. Interesting.

Good thing I had notes about this manga so I could better tell who was talking to who. But the fight scenes were another story, I thought it was harder to follow because there were too many things going on, particularly from page 22 after Ratlua parried Lyselia's attack. It seemed like Ratlua drew his sword and that somehow that disarmed Lyselia's blade...? Then Ivy gets a focus for some reason, followed by Kalua rushing Lyselia with some sort of syringe with a sleeping drug.
