Arigato translator san take your time.

I will say, you guys are setting yourselves up for failure if you're purely investing into this manga to see Tennouji win. I personally don't mind since I'm like the 1% here that prefers Hinako
Thanks for the heads-up. That save me so many time since i like her

Now for the coping part, realistically, i barely see anything that actually beneficial for MC to stick to hinako over Tennouji. (Might include reading comprehension curse but anyway):
1. He practically isn't rewarded for saving hinako, a literal daughter of a major conglomerate, from the kidnapper
2. Instead he is dragged to be her personal attendant (which luckily he agree to it)
3. Straight up death threat from her father shows how unwelcoming it is from parent side
4. She's lazy that "realistically" should be a pain in the ahh to dealt to begin with
5. (My biggest issue) Actually fired for something that he didn't do (he does teach 3 second rule but it's hinako own fault that she picked it). Yet after all of that she doesn't even feel bad about her own actions causing MC to get fired, only selfishly asking to meet the MC
6. MC indirectly smoothen the relation between hinako father and freaking 4 other major family corporation, even with tennouji that is supposedly similar in size. Such insane feat is rewarded with, re-employment?
7. Being major household but poor ahh security. The guards can't stop a teenager from barging in, can't even spot a stalker

At this point, the only reason i could think why MC chasing hinako is just pure 20k yen/day. Beauty? Both of the girl should be equal, Cuteness? Hinoka won but that's only from our own perspective thanks to her chibi, Benefit? Hinoka literally give nothing, if anything it all come from shizune, personality? Should be clear between lazy/proper noble vs full time noble. Literally no/equal appeal tbh

Now from tennoujin. Both of her parent is green flag especially her mother, able to maintain noble (or atleast proper) courtesy even at home, actually benefit MC since she actually improve him academically, etiquette, and even encourage MC to be more confident (which in a lot of other romcom, is a sufficient trigger "as a main heroine" for the MC to took a crush on), a bit of stretch but able to do some self defense as well as seen in this chapter.

At this point, i see MC as nothing but chasing an empty bag tbh and might read it regardless for tennoujin alone

Has there ever been a time where best girl won who also just happens to be the main heroine? I don't think i've seen any of those afaik
If you put it that way, there are actually a lot of them. But that is most likely because there is no competition lol. Take a look at how "dress up darling" fit the criteria, but also at the same time you would complain "well duh ofc it is" lol

mc is steadily becoming a playboy, lying to her face about who he is what he does what he wants and take advantage of her kindness and when all lies surface he is going "no believe me because even if I did all that I like you" or something

Is there an alternate timeline where we got the tennouji main heroine version of this story?

Best we can hope for now is that he ends up with the head maid girl.

Hinako is literally the worst of all the girls introduced.

I might read this later but ultimately it ain't that deep to me, I came here for the fluffy wholesome moments between mc and Hinako that's been advertised since the first chapter, its why I've even stuck around reading this since 2022

This is why I'm so sick of harem manga that don't have the balls to go the harem route. Such great characters being wasted as failed love interests for mediocre male leads.

There's nothing wholesome about heartbreak, and I'm tired of modern romcoms forcing it on me because they can't find a better method for character/romance development.

It's quite fascinating how the author has used so much of the overall current life of the manga for Tennouji, it feels like midway through he just started liking her a lot. Quite a risky move because realistically the vast majority of people will prefer her now, since she is the only female lead that has had an arc at all, which will probably lead to quite the tank in sales after he rejects her at the end of the current arc.

Best case by far would be that he says some bullshit like "I'll prove myself with my actions" and they leave her hanging till the end and the author just goes for the multiple routes ending ngl.

I think that's just the way a lot of MC's are like in manga the other characters always have to reveal the truth but the MC never has to and if they ask are curious about any little thing the MC acts like they're completely out of line and shocked
