Yes I'm rooting for her to she's more dependable and mature then the female lead even though you know she won't win. Is the shame that the male lead is enabling female lead bad habits and the female lead is being very clingy setting back her independence.

For me though it would be hard to see the female lead as a woman if she can't even take care of herself

That's interesting to know but I think it's clear that the main female lead will be the one who will win at end of the day and I can take a guess at which two made a case for themselves usually in manga this is where the male lead will suggest to be a fake boyfriend fiance but the girl actually agreed with her father so I'm guessing it's not that way
