She 180d so hard she could've snapped her neck. What a weird "and then one thing happened and everything was okay." Ending to the arc.

The implication, I've been assuming, is the villain was also murdered in our world, and perhaps doesn't know the circumstances of the MC's death in the first place. Either way, I'm almost certain she never intended for things to escalate to anyone's death, and that they did reinforces her misandrist views. The fact is that in a cold and uncaring world the MC and his friends are the only ones putting in the work to prove her wrong.

But that's just my take.

I think you may be right on a lot of this. I've been getting the sense that the friends who killed MC in our world had something to do with why the villain hates men. Who knows what they did to her or told her after MC was killed by the truck.

She probably genuinely liked him in our world and wasn't trying to come between the group, but rather just be an actual part of it while getting closer to the guy she liked. The friends did some stupid stuff, killed MC, maybe killed her too when she refused something with the friends, or did bad things to her before she died. She may not have known about MC's death, but maybe the friends told her some big ass lie that made him look terrible in her eyes. The both of them could just be under a misunderstanding: him thinking she was a circle crusher when she was not, and her thinking he did something bad he did not.

I know it's a cultural thing, but oshi culture just seems so creepy to me. Its socially acceptable stalking and obsession, not a healthy relationship for either person

Yeah, it is kinda weird to see it portrayed as "wholesome," but that's just the cultural divide. It's like smoking, I hate seeing it constantly without any negative connotations but I just have to accept that they don't see it objectively.

Bro out there lining up waifus for his bros.

Translating as "idol" makes more sense imo.

"Dancer" is extremely broad. Backup dancer, ballet, ballroom, erotica?

The only other words that comes to mind are "showgirl" and "chorus girl", neither of which are equivalent to an "idol".
"Entertainer" might work, but honestly Idol in the context of manga makes sense or will quickly make sense.

Same, especially when I see it applied to other contexts outside the entertainment world. It's not an immediate turn off but I can't see it the same way Japanese do.

"Entertainer" is still overly broad.

"Idol" should just be used as is, especially since some JP works use the English word.

I really need to know what this chicks deal is. Especially since she doesnt seem bothered by another defeat and even seems ...happy? What in the world is her aim?
She genuinely wants to help downtrodden women but is a misandrist and helps them by teaching them how to exploit or defeat men. But if the women succeed some other way It’s still fine because that’s her end goal for them.

In simple terms she’s a principled feminazi
