Okay I guess. Will this one be more or less like the LN? Why’d they even go down this route? They could have easily just canceled the other one and moved on
The reboot definitely feels much more organic in pacing and facial expressions.
The old one just feels a bit sterile in comparison.
I get it's a matter of tastes too, but I do find that this artist is better with composition and anatomy/having dynamic poses, so I personally do like this art more. It is a bit more shoujo-like though.
anyone got an idea of what the route will be? Not expecting details, thought that wherever the description came from their might have been a very general overview, example, focus more on school and interactions or changes in character (hopefully major) or something else. Again not expecting spoiler type stuff. Done right I think this could make for an interesting story ...
The idea of someone who from an early age has received specialty training but nothing else and then spent considerable time fighting could make for an interesting story. Add to that it only makes sense that the military wouldn't want to throw away their best weapon. The story of integrating into society, dealing with the differences between fellow students, dealing with the military to achieve a true retirement ... could be an incredible story. I would really like to see coverage of the differences between the students and him. In the first one it showed him giving a fellow soldier a quick death and that he was willing to do it at the school too, causing distancing, reactions to students seeing the willingness to do this. That difference could be very interesting. Unfortunately in the last one it seemed like he was too passive and too many of the characters were just to irritating to really get interested in. In both it seems like he accepted a path that simply leads him back to being a weapon, cause problems at school get sent back to service, graduate get sent back to service. It makes him seem dense which given that I would expect him to be great at strategy seems odd.
Hmmm... I think this is a stronger start than the initial launch from a story perspective. It leaves a better impression at least than the forgetfulness of the first launch of this manga. Here is hoping it keeps it up, or becomes bog standard compared to other harem Seinen.
this versions art style pretty much completely different then original, I mean new artist but still. As for if the art style is better then old one, hard to say so far, original version had 13 chapters, this one has 2, so can't give a real opinion yet, does look a little like tokyo ghoul re though, just a bit less detailed.
this art style definitely feels like an improvement for me the other one was poorly drawn and looked awkward regarding proportions, the more simplistic art like this one is much welcomed, reminds me of the manga of the reincarnated mage wolf and how it got a better adaptation after the first run sucked
I read 12 chapters of this in kissmanga. So where's the other chapters? or is this a different group that is handling this manga so that is why it has few chapters?
@lavem that 12 chapter you read probably the older version, the artist changed (or/and the manga cancelled) and they decided to make a new series from scratch
