So if Felis was forced to become a demon lord and bring destruction to all those worlds by some kind of binding, who ... or what, even did that to her?

There are a bunch of manga these days who depict 'god(s)' as the main antagonist for one reason or another. I'm curious to see what reason this story's god(s) have for putting that on her, if they were the culprit.

The implications of a world tree also implied that gods are just over confident beings who were born with the abilities to rule and manage the world tree. A theory would be that the tree in itself created the gods and the world's, with no specific reason
