Me neither. My theory is that every author who doesn't justify the need to remain inconspicuous wants to...

1) deconstruct the old "Where am I? How did I get here? And... is that a flipping dinosaur with wings?"

2) Play the power fantasy of a character just immediately making a big impact on the world...

3) to get the plot going because they aren't skilled enough to make an interesting regular living arc.

The ones that really get me are the "I don't want to stand out because I used to and am tired of the fame, but will do the exact things that made me famous to start with."

I... don't like the girl he grouped up with.

Makes me remember horrible memories from Uni where similar kid I picked up and tried helping nearly got me and them expelled... TWICE. Because they couldn't handle having common sense or being cautious when dealing with stuff they really shouldn't have been dealing with in the first place!

It is one thing to try to be good Samaritan, but when someone drags you this far down, I see no reason not to cut off support, maybe not connection, but support. I also have life, and they literally cost me 2 years of uni. Even if I care about them, there are levels of AoE damage that I cannot abide to, and this girl in the story is waking up those horrible memories to me.

Sure, she may have inherent superpower that will blast beyond imagination, but realistically, no matter how nice as a person someone is, if they are dragging everyone down with them, I ain't gonna be there for them if it will cost me all my work as well. I learned that the hard way the first year in Uni where 2 in the group I worked with just... up and disappeared month before we were supposed to hand the final essay...

She is definitely not the latter type, but she is without doubt the former. There is a limit to being a klutz.

Uuh? I thought that school facility was essentially to force everyone into a location where they could be kept supervised, localized, and even (to some extent) coerced into self-enforcement? And that everyone were (much to mc's dismay) forced to enroll and isolated?

So why do they have an expulsion system at all?

Why is mc (or anyone else on that team) finding the news of expulsion troubling? To the extent they want to take bothersome measures to prevent it?

Remember they'll erase your memories and seal your abilities if you choose to leave the academy so I assume expulsion comes with that

Doubt they can do that on him, but no, I don't remember expulsion from that place ever being mentioned to involve those things.

The villain looking instructor said you can choose to leave now and have your memories erased and your abilities sealed, it was at the beginning so I'm just assuming if they're kicking you out they won't just let you go out with your abilities as for the Mc case ofc he's too op but felice will get discovered if they find out how powerful he is
