@Drake68655 I suspect the other groups died on the other side or similar, if they didn't return it's not like they could know why they didn't return, so, wouldn't know if it was specifically an issue with the beads.

Though who knows maybe those guardians inhibited them, and well... he dealt with that.

While there could be another reason for why no other adventures managed to came back from the holes instead of their Return Beads not working, but IF the reason really is because their Return Beads isn't working, then my guess for why Jin could use the Return Beads (to even bring back someone else native to the other side) is because he unknowingly already got the support of 2 Sins, the "Gluttony" Slime and "Pride" Dragon. I mean, the identified holes are only just five right now, coincides with the fact Jin already conquered two legendary monsters.

Its final verse is, "Ossan Hunter will take all your hot girls"

Anyway, does Tarman work part-time laying roads?

@Aichan I swear this guildmaster must be part of a trans-isekai faction of muscled guildmasters. >_>

@primrosea But that wouldn't work when comes the time to use said weapon! D:

@Haremmony Wait a sec. Was it ever mentioned that the hole he crawled back out from was closed when he used the return beads? ^.- Since he supposedly killed the dragon of Greed, right?

@phil777, If my memories serve me right, they never mentioned anything like the hole closing.

Plus, remember that defeating the supposedly "Greed" Sin, Zeld'don, is the very first thing Jin does in that hole. After that, he meet the elves, then used Return Beads to return home to prepare for things and then proceed to fall into the hole again, meaning even after defeating Zeld'don, the hole persist. Also, i don't think Jin and Airi would just brush it off if the hole really had been closed, because that mean Airi can't easily return home anymore. So in conclusion, i say that hole is still pretty much open even right now.

Lastly, there's a possibility that the dragon the elves refers to as Zeld'don which already been slayed by Jin, is not the real Zeld'don The Dragon of Greed, which would explain why the hole still persist.

@Haremmony

You're right about the hole. Not sure about the possibility and the rest of your hypothesis, but we'll see how that adds up in the future.

So that hole isn't the only one, there are others that lead to A. Another land or B. another world.

Difference being that if you want double the living space, make a planet hollow.

@phil777, yeah the information we got is still pretty lacking so i won't be surprised if my theories ended up being a complete miss. 😛

Also that dang last verse cliffhanger. 😂

@Haremmony : the guild master says : "it's because of the sins that the holes does not merge with the world."
Doesn't it means that they keep the worlds from merging together?

So killing them would makes the hole bigger?

What I want to know is why is the name of the kingdom Rural? The Kingdom of Rural, it's a rural kingdom.
Seriously, who would name a kingdom that?
Do their borders neighbor the Empire of Suburbia?

The hunters sent into the holes so far have not returned...
Who says that they could not return?
Maybe they simply do not WANT to return.

Jin's strength is an exception in his "own world" but there are other S ranked hunters annd people as strong as them.
So that strength is not "unknown".
But in that "world beyond the hole" slaying a dragon that Jin considers "small" ( as such maybe not even a S ranked but only an A ranked monster) is already unimaginable to the inhabitants there.

Therefore a hunter from Jin's "world" would probably considered far stronger in that other "world".
E.g.: An average hunter in Jin's "world" might be considered a veteran in the other "world", a veteran hunter in Jin's "world" might be considered an elite in the other "world".

If so then the hunters who went down the hole might simply not want to return because earning a living in the other "world" might be far easier and as such they can live more comfortably there.
Has anyone ever thought about that? 🤔

Of course, this is not something the people of Jin's "world" could know cause they do not know what lies beyond the holes.
But Jin could make such an assumption and any reader could think about it, too.

------

Also one more point:
I have written it as "world" everytime because there is another possibility other than it being "2 worlds".
Namely those holes could also be connections through time.
So instead of "2 worlds" it could also be "2 ages".

After all we have just learned in this chapter that the dragon Zeld'don is/was a monster mentioned in the ANCIENT TIMES.
So that would implicate that Jin travelled through time instead of dimensions.

It could also explain why the strength of the people is not comparable to Jin's "time age" because in the ancient times the people were not as organized with hunters and experienced with monsters as they are several ages later.
Hence people dying before becoming strong enough to fight those strong monsters on their own would be more likely because there is no organisation in the ancient times like the hunters guild in Jin's age that regulates targets to be given out to fighters with the needed strength for the requests.

Wtf? Actually cool and interesting plot? Nice! Even if it just ends up basically being some MHW missions, at least the author put some work into creating a good setting, it really makes a world of difference.

@Clad95150, ah sorry, the matter with the hole closing is more about using the Return Bead, not killing the supposedly Sin Guardian. I brought it up that way because user phil777 was asking about it.

But you're right, if we took that verse at face value, then killing the Sin Guardian would actually NOT close the hole. But i must say tho the impression i got from that verse is that the Sin Guardian are the ones responsible for the opening of the holes in the first place.
