Nice of someone to translate this series. It's one of the best out there in terms of story and character depth... But this is mostly a hidden gem, because some series are too overhyped.

Firstly, they shouldn't have added bit about paper being expensive in the beginning of the arc if they decided book is the best solution to everything.
Secondly, I think attaching novices to mentors is better then a book for obvious reasons.
