...He's not ugly, though. Just pudgy-looking. Not sure if that's a failure of the artist, whether they think he just can't be too ugly because "no one wants that," or whether the humans he lives with are really supposed to just be that hysterical. I mean, he's not gorgeous or anything either; he just looks... normal.
I guess it's probably just "hollywood ugly" again.
@Aelth:
Part of the premise is already that the demonfolk are way more accepting of people looking however they might look (just because they're used to living together with wildly disparate races anyway). So, I think you're most likely barking up the wrong tree here.
Mind, I admit, I'd personally prefer that if there's romance, he get together with a demon who isn't "traditionally" good-looking, because then this can be thematically about the importance of paying attention to who people are instead of how they look, instead of this just being another day of the milquetoast isekai, "This is why the protagonist life's sucks in the beginning, now sit back and enjoy a bunch of vicarious wish-fulfillment," sort of stuff.
However, given elf-girl's reactions in this last chapter I think I'm perhaps hoping for too much from this in that regard.
