It feels like I'm reading solo levelling all over again. :bleh:
Glad leader dude alive and does not break a leg. :02:
Lastly, girl, that arrogant jerk actually did the right thing, escape and call for backup rather than be a sitting duck trying to be a rearguard, this is not sengoku period.

bro needs to put on his ninja cape thing and murk that guy. investigators kinda suck in this world so he'd get away with it. he also needs to tell the company or w/e it is he works for that he's part time or something.

There is a difference between a tactical retreat and a boastful bully who runs away when things go bad. Especially so when he abandons the survivors without even attempting to take them with him.

Man, almost everyone is a psycho.
Glad the MC is now growing a spine.
The other dude tried to run him over with a car, and then mug him and he just holds him down for a bit then lets him go?

I don't think solo leveling was this bad, though admittedly, I can't remember much from the beginning.

Not in the same class as Solo leveling but it's ok so far, also fighting the Mimic the next chapter i hope he doesn't end up with his a$$ hanging out of it like Frieren.

Next chapter will be dark and scary. :aquadrink:

Hey, he tried. There was some hesitation and in my idea, he decide it is impossible to escort 3 pack mules, 1 sitting duck healer who is not helping but make things worse with her staying still to heal someone who already losing his lower half.

Shameless, but it is a logically correct decision. He must choose to run and get some help, or stop there, and DIE.

Breaking that kids arm would have been too light since he hit him with a truck while he was riding a moped.
MC is way too soft. If he hadn't powered up he would have been seriously injured and robbed, maybe end up dead, but he just lets the other guy go?

F rank pack mules had already been told to leave and get help. The other surviving C ranks ran right after the B rank lost his legs. And despite being right next to them, he made no effort to grab the healer or the wounded B rank.

So yeah, he could have done more. He supposedly has enhanced fantasy strength. He took the time to assess the room, and made the decision to leave without a word. He could have just as easily grabbed the B rank he was literally standing over, thrown him over a shoulder, and drug the chicka by the arm and booked it outta there. But he didn't.

Could have he done more? Yes. Was he required to do more? Debatable. Was it a logical action? Depends on your priorities. Should he feel immense guilt for abandoning the wounded and the healer? Unequivocally yes. Should he understand that any chance he had with the healer was crushed the moment he left her? Shameless people are shameless.

That is a problem with societies focused solely on apperance and not actual ethics.

They tend to create people who are only concerned with how they look, and how they feel about themselves.

Add to that that the world is a PoS dystopia with a caste system in their ranks and a lot of people, especially those whose cultures have a traditional untouchable bottom caste (like Japan), are going to start seeing the bottom caste as not really people, just something to abuse.

The prevelance of bullying in Japanese school systems, both occuring and being ignored by the staff, does not help either.
