Massive shift in direction halfway through wow, status says this wasnt axed but idk if I believe that.
First half is a generic unstoppable force mystery monster story and then it flips completely around with some superpower hero reincarnation gray morale shit.
The time spend with the detective was completely wasted too, police involvement didnt even come to fruition we just heard what we already knew from a different angle.
Like what happened to the "skin wearing"? All these people were just eaten, quickly too, that one girl in the classroom at the start was slowly chewed through.
Also the monsters were just smiley guys with large heads in the end?
What the fuck was up with the wednesday limitation?
Also holy fucking shit way too much talking at the end, this entire rant about how they are actually doing people a favor and parents wilfully getting their kids skin walked was fucking deranged.
"and that controlling girl" is clearly referring to haruka in third-person. Bullies were destroying mc's reputation, alienating him with the girl that defends her, and embarasses her so that she stops being controlling, three pigs in one panty. Haruka did think mc stole it, which is why she waited for his parents outside and told them about it. Nobody believed mc kun, not haruka, not even his mother. He only found love from his father, which believed him, by killing haruka. Because of the rain, haruka's body might be washed out and discovered, so to protect the only person that showed him love, he moved haruka's body. That is why mc is the greatest scumbag loser. He protected the person that killed the girl he loved. And loved her he did, as seen in the first chapter, with the panty sniff and the edited photos, though it was hostily unreciprocated. Anyway after all of that, haruka was going to eat mc for betraying her again, but stops halfway, because she gained his memories, memories that showed mc kun didn't really steal the panties. Heartbroken of the realization that she inadvertently caused mc's spiral of tragedy, and that mc did not have the guts to just look her in the eye and say that he did not steal them, she went off on her own. In the end, they were indirectly both to be blamed. Haruka did'nt know mc did not steal the panties, and mc didn't know haruka loves her back, and let her die. It was all rooted on misunderstandings. But now, with mc eating haruka, they become one, clearing all misunderstandings between them. Tragic, though, it was all too late, and haruka died in the end. The lesson here is if you have something to say, if you love someone, don't let it hang in the air. Look them in the eyes and SAY IT, before it's all too late. Anyway that was great, sorry for the rant, glad y'all here with me on this ride. 10/10.
I mean, yeah, maybe, lets not forget that he didn't "let her die" he LITERALLY killed her when she was still alive in the hole.
@Mewples i mean some classmate put the panties to frame him and make her despise him, but it had the opposite effect, she didnt dislike that at all. Before and after the incident of his father, he was unable to think and act on his own and fucked everyting up
She did dislike it though, and resented him because of it for the longest time until she ate part of him and gained his memories does she now knows the truth. The bullies successfully managed to frame him and separate them. Just because he couldn't muster up the courage to confirm with her that he didn't steal her panties, she came to his house and got his parents involved she wants him to say the truth, whatever it may be and cause of how he acted in class, she's more convinced that he stole her panties. And things spiral out of control from there, mostly because of his scumbag father. (I'm pretty much just reiterating this
comment)
He was framed for sure, but I think she did it herself.
It makes no sense for people that are trying to ruin MCs life to go "Oh idk maybe he will find love anyway, there is a lot of weirdos after all..." that's clearly her talking, because that was her goal.
That's why she went to his house too, she wanted EVERYONE to hate him, even his parents so he only had her to rely on.
Thats why the monsters are so incredibly obsessed with "losers" and assimilating/controlling them, that was her kink.
So really not a lot of reason to feel bad for her.
Maybe its just weird translation, she 100% had a thing for having losers depend on her, but her last words and the flashback contradict a little. I guess if the author actually went fully for this angle her being manipulative till the end makes sense?
Maybe I'm just reading into it too much this is just a silly slasher after all.
In conclusion its kinda weird to base your horror manga on a little girls femdom fetish.
