@aberdeus The author is a Chinese guy from Malaysia who went to Japan to become a professional comic author. Since Chinese is his native language (and mine, since I'm also a Malaysian Chinese), this series was originally in Chinese and uploaded to his Facebook page right up until chapter 47 back in May 23 2017, exactly two years ago, when the comic had abruptly stopped updating, and on 27 September 2018 he made an announcement on his Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/otosamaspage/posts/1857961097628853) to which I shall translate thusly:
The Chinese version of Saiyuukin went into hiatus after the Japanese version was cancelled, and the reason for that is because prior to cancellation we received news that a company was looking to animate it. If this were to happen then the chance of getting the Japanese version back into serialisation is huge, thus we have decided to wait for the news of turning it into an anime before we proceed. Due to various uncertainties, I also did not plan on explaining this to everyone, up until the end of last year (2017) that I got to know that the plans of turning it into an anime was bust.

After that, two translators and I went in search of a publisher that would publish the continuation of Saiyuukin, and we also tried pitching other works, but unfortunately it had all been in vain. It wasn't until half a year ago (around March 2018 I suppose) that we found favour in the eyes of a Japanese publisher, and so we are currently making preparations for a new serial.

I am very sorry to have waited so long before explaining the situation to everyone. Frankly speaking, due to differences in expectations versus reality, I had been unable to envision future developments, which is why I wanted to be a bit more cautious and wait until the matter is clearer before making the announcement.

As for Saiyuukin, I personally would like to continue the story, and I've even planned out the story for the next 7 or so chapters. However, due to my livelihood, I would like to first focus on the commercial serialisation, so that I would have the opportunity to draw Saiyuukin again in the future. It may be working together with publishers in Japan or beyond, or perhaps going independent by going directly to some crowdfunding platforms.

The new work is expected to be serialised in October (barring any unforeseen circumstances), but I'm sorry to say that it will only be published on a certain platform. And because this particular platform is restricted to Japan IP only, it would be very inconvenient for readers outside of Japan to read it. If there is going to be a Chinese version I'll let everybody know as soon as possible.

Finally, I would like to thank the editor/publisher who has invited me as a guest during this time. Although we were unable to collaborate at this moment, I hope to have this opportunity next time.

On that note, the name of this series is Saiyuukin, as can be seen on the cover itself, not Saikyuukin.
EDIT: Oh, good, someone changed the title already.

Oh hey interesting, the third video has some somewhat decent English translations. I guess that makes things a lot easier to have something to compare to. Thanks for the find!

@MooPoint I think you'll find the pages that the author has uploaded directly to his Pixiv account to be the highest quality compared to scanning them, though speech bubble placements may differ slightly due to differences between Japanese and Chinese text length, as well as translation of certain puns that would occur a bit later in the series which I have no idea how it's handled in the Japanese.

EDIT: Someone might want to add the author's Pixiv link to the description as well.
