How come this translator has so many comics that are updated like several months ago after 1-few chapters? 
Is it to just test the waters with series or did TL have some kind of deal with the creators that they can sample the series?

Because I have an addiction to picking up new works 😅
I've had to put a hard stop on new series recently since I don't have the time for everything. But everything with the pandemic and school made me lose steam on translating, and now I'm paying for it with all the series I picked up before this whole thing started.
There is also the nature of working with artists where I'm relying on them to provide raw files, since it would take a lot of time to clean/redraw every single series. And some artists are awesome about this, some not so much... Which results in more delays for any given series.
