Maybe the dad had a incurable disease and just decided that if he was going to die he would rather it be by segs? (Or more likely, perhaps the succubus wife had some sort of health condition and needed a ton of life energy, and the dad just sacrificed himself to save her.)

Nah, I'm happy with what it turned out to be, because honestly I don't think this story ever tried to be serious in the first place, so I'm glad it was just completely goofy from start to finish.

Also this is actually one of the best depictions of a succubus love interest I've seen in a manga, so that's pretty funny considering how unserious this manga is.
