Note: past chapter 8 is where the usual format gets disrupted as Yamada has grown through his hardship and becomes determined to take the antagonists on and the series starts getting depth. TLDR: read the CG before you make a complaint about depth. There is an overlying plot from chapter 8 of the CG onwards. It's just not scanlated into English.
BTW like no CG set series I've seen has this many pages. There's also like 11 covers that may or may not be part of the thing if you count each chapter as a volume, bringing the total to 3112 pages.
