More like the opposite.

Mayu already saw Mikoma with the "womanly eyes" back then when she thanked him for the peppercorns he didn't make. And she stutters a lot in front of him.

And Kazuma has some death flags. But Mikoma won't kill him because of wanting to protect Mayu, more like because of a selfish pulse. It will become his 1st body count for self centered reasons.
