Dunno man, Chihiro is acting childish but his determination and sense of justice is pretty good.

He has shown a lot of times to Ranko he is willing to even die for Rea sake, got punctured all the way through with a sword, Rea bit him in the neck and mowed his arm, still willing to commit.
Meanwhile he saved her from a dog once long time ago and he doesn't really remember the whole incident, while she is cling to that memory as if was yesterday.
