And humans are capable of kicking a monkey so hard they'll be scared to come close. Like seriously, don't underestimate humans. We're the apex predator for a reason. We may have zero chances against a chimpanzee but monkeys? No. If we're committed to it, we can kill one easily.
Except that fear clearly isn't working with these monkeys, the so called fear tactics only backfire since they would just bring back the same kick, the only solution is to quickly kill 'em.
Something humans are good at if they're not being morons.
And the reasons we're apex predators is because we're not,we're the dominate species.
What humans had for the most part is more stamina, pack coordination, adaptive intellect, and extensive tool usage, this lets' us take out the actual apex predators,we've never been able to be true apex predators on their terms.
So how the Hell did a tight knit community of villagers not slaughter...three?,or so troop of monkeys who are only somewhat stronger then an average monkey but less then a baboon and especially less then a chimpanzee...
...The only answer that would come to mind if there was a dozen or so killing villagers in quick succession, one after another, using the confusion induced delay to prevent a coordinated effort.
