Thanks for the translation!
Nothing way off, some things I’d have done differently, but nothing I disagree with.
Far better than some translations I’ve read of late.

The fact that Myaa-chan keeps getting more masculine in appearance as time goes on and their relationship deepens as well is a nice difference from old-school BL where one character always looked “cuter”.
It’s common to grow out of baby face.
(unfortunate for me. I was way cuter before 14… siiiiiigh. Eh. HRT is a hell of a drug!)

And I know the move Sasaki was about pull. That’s the old “grab one thigh and spin them onto the bed” ploy.
I guess we know two things, Myaa—chan is a switch*, and THEY FUUUUUCK.
It was fairly obvious already, but they both know that move. That move only works if you know they’re gonna be cool with getting flung, and that takes practice reading the mood, yadda yadda yadda.

…I do hope they didn’t actually get up to something in that classroom, though. There are a lot of things they could have gotten up to, but some of them are not things to do in that situation 😬


*already said he’s not an uke, then Sasaki’s internal monologue made it pretty clear that he’s a top. How it goes sometimes. 🤷‍♀️

One of my kid’s teachers once thought I was in high school. I was 38.

Part of that is the Ehlers Danlos syndrome, though. A hypermobility type. My skin doesn’t wrinkle, really. I do get stretch marks easily (aaaaall over my upper chest to neck, my thighs and tuchus) and things will eventually, suddenly start to sag like I’m melting. See also: Dick Clark. I’d put money on him having EDS.

It causes a ton of problems (I’ve had arthritis since my 20s, for one) but I’ll spare you.

Point is I look 42 and I am 42. SO IT BEGINS.

Same!! I've read my fair share of bl but I've always prefered the ones that are about just two silly and awkward lads, where the author is not blatantly making a thirst trap or forcong heteronormative like roles onto the charachters. Just let them be two normal guys with silly antics and (both!) blushy/awkward in front of their crush pls

I would like to recommend anyone 'Tashiro-kun, Kimi tte Yatsu wa' and 'Nirameba Koi' for these reasons 😤

It's funny how even though this is one of the tamest BLs I've read, my reaction to these types of scenes here is a lot more O_O than any actually graphic manga lol. Idk if I'll ever get used to how far their relationship has come, good for them though!

There’s a reality to it, and it’s not the main focus, so when it happens it’s WHOA, OKAY, THEN!
Then I remember “oh, yeah. They’re adults.” Well, Myaa-chan is one year away, by Japanese standards, but still.
I don’t have any problem with where things have gone, just where they were when it started…

I'm a 36 year old high school custodian. Students and staff both consistently mistake me for a student if I'm not wearing my badge. Estrogen is a hell of a drug 😅

Heck, I started reading something within the past 5 years where it seemed ok, if very basic, but The Uke (I said it was basic) just slowly morphs into some kind of little, juicy, onlyfans girl. He literally got shorter and his eyes got bigger.
Shrinking and feminising and I got so weirded out I hid it from my pixiv bookshelf.

The author of THIS has made a concerted effort to add realism to it.

You read the Hirano & Kagiura spin-off? I read Hirano as aspec, to the point I think it’s intentional.
My wife is aspec, as is a friend of mine.
Checked with my wife, showing her several chapters and explaining other stuff. She thinks it scans. Maybe you read it differently, but the flash forward bonus chapter in the last Sasamya volume was when I really started thinking he wasn’t just dim.
Needed to see him. Didn’t want any physical contact right then. Kagi knew to respect that, despite clearly wanting some.

Well, it’s six to 18 months of in-world time, and it’s one chapter every 3 months, so who knows how long it’s gonna run for.
I did see part of an art stream where she was drawing a panel of them on a bench, and Sasaki had clearly been growing his hair out.

Also, that’s pretty much how things have gone as they’ve gotten closer over time. Basketball birthday, study time, waking each other up, giving gifts. These are what’s made him smile the most.
Combining studying and basketball was the happiest they’ve been!

Have an inkling that he will be the one to propose. Kagi gonna be the the one wants to have a big wedding.
…three months between chapters. I have loaded like ten megatons into my head cannons.
