Everyone here is wrong. The big sister isn't wanting the guy's dick, she's cockblocking him and protecting her sister from the lolicon.

Mitsuha: "I refuse."
Nobles: "Insolent! Catch her!"

What the heck??? Why did they change their tune so quickly just from that little thing? Wasn't she the one that saved their country with overwhelming firepower? Did those nobles get hit on the head or something?

She was pretty rude towards the King. She had no reason to refuse him, didn't provide one either, and simply walked away without a word.
To be fair, "catch her" does sound weird considering she did save the country. I would've expected "What?! How insolent!" at most.

Sometimes, I get the feeling the author (or Mitsuha) simply wants to throw random "but I refuse" Jojo references, without thinking about etiquette.
Even if she wanted to surprise everyone with the boy's return, she could've just replied with: "That won't be necessary, open the door" instead of "I refuse".

@Doomer
the nobles are actors ready for all to appear perfect in front of their king.
in addition there is the nationalist dimension and the king has a divine place in the herarchy
It's a bit like the little chef in the companies who sucks the dick of their superior's dick at every possible opportunity

@4stjack Yeah, the author is not super great at keeping a suspension of disbelief. Ever since the start where Mitsuha was like, "I won't ruin the ways of this world with my own world!" it's been downhill, to the point where the author finally had to be like, "lol, jk!" Switched tone and direction to go all out instead... but along the way there are just too many moments where either the people of the other world should be legit questioning Mitsuha and freaked out to moments where the mercenaries from our world should have been like, "Uh, how did you teleport yourself and us? What are you talking about monsters? This isn't even earth? Holy shit, why are there dragons and monsters?" which I assume at some point they're going to have to address.

It's still an entertaining story, otherwise I wouldn't have read this far, but just thinking about how much gets overlooked or is ignored... eh, well, it's just another isekai so not really worth thinking about too much, I guess. Kind of a staple of the genre at this point, how much things fall apart if you look at any of them rationally.

I'm glad she want to visit Collette. Almost thought Mitsuha had forgot about her.

Why would you even risk offending an entire room of all the nobility in the entire kingdom just for the sake of giving one guy a dramatic entrance?

Why shoehorn in a Jojo reference for the second time when you could just say: "Actually, he is here." ...

damn lolicon alexis-sama. I'm surprised a daughter older than 15 is still in the country especially 25. She isn't married off to a foreign country or to a duke or earl

FYI:
The rank of an Earl (UK/English term derived from Jarl) is the same as that of a Count (general european term), of which Alexis is aiming to become. Counts are relatively at the middle of the ladder and is just a step before becoming a Duke or a Margrave/Marquis (these are the same rank as a Duke but more military in nature and usually has their territories near the borders of the kingdom).

Anyway, Mitsuha and Alexis becoming viscounts in one fell swoop is remarkable. Usually a commoner or a title-less noble will only get to be a baron first as a reward for a considerable achievement. From how I understood in history, usually the title of viscount is awarded to people who protected and saved the kingdom in critical situations, usually in a military sense.

26 years old and unwed? In isekai? I understand the First Princess' feeling... and just wish her luck.
16 and Widowed, actually. Mitsuha is horrible at matching faces to age, then again the ageing is really fucking weird so Mitsuha who looks like a short 17 year old looks 10-12. Meanwhile the oldest princess looks like she could be her sister's Mom with her air of nobility and sternness.
Oh, and the deceased husband died on the day that Mitsuha fell off the cliff.

Mitsuha eventually asks why the First Princess doesnt get dragged to the Yamano Royal Residence when both the middle sister and little brother do, since Sabine is the actual Sovereign. Sabine explains that her oldest sister was having issues but she needed time and it wasnt something that what Mitsuha (begrudgingly) handed over to Sabine could help. She seems to be happy as a diplomat and with Alexis.

Mitsuha telling Sabine to have her sister grant Alexis his title is also quite funny because it later retroactively carries the implication that Sabine declared her engagement to Mitsuha. Just As Planned.
