I love lamias, but something bothers me a little. If a race only has males or has only females and breeds with humans to propagate... then are they parasites, technically?

Parasites per definition exploit the host in a way that is disadvantageous to them, whereas a species that makes use of another in a way that is neither harms nor benefits the other species is called a commensalistic symbiotic relationship, which I think is the most accurate description in this case. I. e., the lamia mates with a human and produces a new lamia, so the survival of the human (as a species) is neither positively nor negatively impacted.
