It'd be kind of a pacing problem if someone with the MC's actual power level had to get serious this early on. Imagine the ridiculous escalation from then on. Punching out Cthulhu level shit every other day or something.

Wasn't she hitting the ants demon and it didn't even cut it's neck? And now she's able to cut that higher ranked demon just fine? Also the ants demon looks so much more intimidating at first encounter (they were impressed that the mc could beat them in 1 slash, but later on they just died to some random arrows)
