i hate when authors do this, either have them get together or stay away from each other. hes a dragon with thousands of years of life you would think he could atleast have the wisdom or the maturity to let her go. afterall her purpose is to find a husband and bring them back to the lamia village. she is essentially wasting her parents efforts in raising her for that purpose. i guess you hardly find logic in mangas though :/

The goal of that whole tradition is just procreation anyway. As long as she fulfills her duties of having an offspring it should be fine for her not to bring anyone to her village. I don't think her parents would be that stuck-up either

Yeah, because if your fathers tell you to follow some tradition you have to give up all your life and what makes you happy to follow it, obviously.
