Claw Machines in Japan are actually a lot easier to win at than ones in the west. While the grip strength when the claw closes isn't anything to write home about, the opening force is rather strong so you can use that to knock boxes off of rails in the figure claw machines, the claws close horizontally and are flat bits so you can get them caught in parts of the plushes or the boxes. If all else fails a worker will come around like they did in this chapter and basically move them onto the rim of the hole so its incredibly easy to get even if you're really bad.
