The pace just shifted into lightspeed and now there are bad things happening.

To be fair, the pace was always highly inconsistent. We could spend entire chapters on foot fetish shenanigans – only to forcefully push the story forward in three panels awkwardly shoved in-between fluffy scenes.

Here, too, there have been SOME developments, and I can't even say they are totally random since there indeed was some foreshadowing before... But yeah, it's a bit of a mess.
A lovable mess.

Does she have some ability to nullify magic? Is that why magic healing wasn't working on her and she could break that barrier?
