Why did the spirits say "she finally hit him!" when she had just slapped Herman like a minute prior? Did a slap across the face somehow not count?

That said, I'm just finding the drama in this story confusing lately. I feel like the original premise has long been lost. The plot developments seem kind of arbitrary. It used to be about wanting to leave this charmed life to get back to an even luckier one...of course, the development of wanting to create a nice life here instead of returning was a natural development from there. But beyond that, it's now "let's run a business while taking care of my adopted brother who is also a zombie" and I don't really know what to do with that. I guess the issue is that while Soleia is a well written character, no one else really is.

I agree with you. I actually have no problem with the story of her wanting to return to her own world cause she's filthy rich --> deciding to stay for a family she never had in OG world --> improving her fiefdom/dukedom cause it's a natural progression.

But the thing is there's barely any detail about how she's "slowly" improving the fiance of their fiefdom. And there's all these spirits, magic, brainwashing stuff happening. The pacing is off...it's almost like a chinese manhua pace where there's a problem and it gets resolved in like 3 chapters, new problem, new resolution.
