@anotherone probably, when I watched the movie Hotel Rwanda when i was a kid I had always thought Africa was just 1 country and everyone is just killing each other for political power, a true Hell on earth. That was until I was introduced to the internet and educated meself.
That and parents keep saying children are starving in africa so eat everything in the plate lol

there are reasons why you'd just say africa instead of naming a country, but its such a common error it's probably just an oversight like it typically is. with that said people do this type of thing with pretty much everywhere, even though it does seem most common with africa.
