Seeing updates for dropped titles?

It would be nice to keep a record of dropped titles, but I keep seeing updates for these titles, and so I have had to start marking them as "None" to stop this happening. Can't there be a way to keep them listed as dropped and not be bothered by them again?

When you update their reading status, there should be a bell icon right next to the status selection drop menu. Default is bell icon with a V tick aka you receive updates. Click on that bell icon so it turns into one without V tick and you won't receive updates anymore.
